'Movie in the Park' with Samaritan's Feet!

'Movie in the Park' Back to School Festival

 
The City of Compton in California has been challenged with gun and gang violence, and the local community is determined to help create a safer environment for their families and neighborhoods. 
 
This Friday, August 21st, Samaritan’s Feet is partnering with Faith Inspirational Church and Compton Parks and Recreation to present a free "Movie in the Park' and Back to School Festival at Leuders Park, 1500 S. Rosecrans Avenue in Compton.  This event will be an opportunity for the local residents to enjoy fun activities with their family and friends in a secure and safe environment. 
 
Faith Inspiration Church will provide free hot dogs and beverages at the movie, and local barbers will offer free 'back to school' haircuts for students. 
 
In addition, five hundred youth aged eighteen and younger will receive a new backpack filled with school supplies along with a new pair of athletic footwear through Samaritan's Feet. 
 
The day's events begin at 3pm, and all residents in City of Compton are invited to attend!
